The Range Experience

If you have never been on a range before, you will experience a wide range of feelings your first time there. Initially, there is excitement and sometimes a touch of apprehension if you have not been around or handled firearms before. These same feelings may be present the first few times you shoot and are perfectly natural. If you would initially like private instruction to become familiar with your firearm, just ask - you won't believe what you will learn in just one hour! Once you become accustomed to shooting, it becomes very relaxing where the only things that exist when you are shooting are you and the target. It becomes almost addictive as you get better and better, trying to out-do how you shot last time on the range. If you purchased a firearm for personal or home protection, practice will improve your confidence and ability to react and better handle stressful defensive situations should, heaven forbid, you ever find yourself in one. If you decide to take any of the firearm courses offered by JD Defense, you will learn even greater skills to handle defensive situations that you can practice including how to get your family safely out of the house during a home intrusion, approaching and shooting around obstructions, dealing with multiple targets, and many other skills.

Our membership includes a wide variety of honest, friendly people who are always happy to assist, share experiences, or answer questions. You will meet people from all walks of life on the range- individuals and families , farmers to Fortune 500 corporate officers, all who come for the pure enjoyment of learning or enhancing their marksmanship skills.
